I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia, and later completing my Master's in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

I began teaching Kindergarten for 10 years at Temple Elementary School, and taught Kindergarten for 4 years at Providence Elementary. In 2014 I began teaching 2nd grade, for three years. I am excited to announce that I returned to kindergarten the 2017-2018 school year.

My name is Teresa Reese, and I live in Villa Rica, Ga. I graduated from Villa Rica High School, later attending the University of West Georgia, getting my degree in Early Childhood Education. Finally, a few years ago I received by Masters in Reading and Literacy at Walden University. (I also attended the University of West Georgia Nursing Program for two years, and later transferred to Georgia Baptist to specialize in my nursing degree.)  My husband and myself enjoy traveling, gardening, and we are very active in our community. Together we have 4 children, and 9 grandchildren.

My classroom theme is, modeled after the book by Eric Carle, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Just like the butterfly at the end of this book, there is a metamorphis of learning where each student is gradually evolving into that beautiful, brilliant being. My passion for teaching has allowed me to engage each student throught the years, to be thinkers, and to use the tools they have been equipped with, to hopefully be successful in pursuing their dreams.
