I have had the privilege to teach several grades.  I have taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades.  The 2016-2017 school year will start my ninth year of teaching.  This year will also be my fifth year in 5th grade!

Hello, my name is Jill Lopez. I am very excited to be a part of the Providence Elementary School staff and working with your child. The 2016-2017 school year will complete my ninth year of teaching.  I was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia. I attended all Douglas County Schools from elementary through high.  The University of West Georgia is where I attended college and obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Masters in Reading Education.  I completed my Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction June 2014.

I reside in Villa Rica, Georgia with my husband Javier and our two year old son.  I am very close to my family.  My mom, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law are all educators.  My dad and brother own and work for our family contracting business. My in-laws live in Douglasville and New Jersey. I have four beautiful nieces and a very handsome nephew.   When I'm not hard at work teaching and learning with your child I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, curling up on the couch to watch a good movie, and getting away to the beach whenever I can! I am looking forward to this school year as a Providence Tiger!
