Christina Shirley Staff Photo

I attended Shorter University in Rome, Georgia for four years, where I played volleyball and received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.

I have been in education for seven years, and I am going into my fifth year of teaching.

My name is Christina Shirley and I am a born and raised Tiger! I am the daughter of two retired teachers, grew up in Temple, and graduated from Temple High School. After high school, I attended Shorter University and played volleyball for four years, and graduated with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I previously taught 1st grade for two years, and this is my second year teaching 2nd grade!

I love spending time with my family. I am married to Jake Shirley, who also was born and raised in Temple. He teaches and coaches at Temple High School, and we have been married for four years. We have one daugther, Delaney, who turns one year old in September and a dog named Champ.

I am so excited to be home and giving back to my community, by inspiring students to love learning the way that my teachers did for me.

It is going to be a great year!
