I grew up in Douglas County and graduated from Alexander High School in 2003. After graduation, I went on to pursue my degree in Middle Grades Education at the University of West Georgia. After obtaining my bachelor's, I married my high school sweetheart that summer. I accepted a job at Yeager Middle School that began the following month. A couple of years later, we started a family and had our first daughter, Clara. I decided to take some time away from teaching to focus on my growing family and the completion of my M.Ed. in Reading Education. Two years later, our family grew even more as we welcomed our twins, Jonah and Camilla. When the time came to return to my professional calling, I taught middle school for five more years. During that time, the twins began Pre-K at Providence Elementary School, and we all absolutely loved it. In 2018, I accepted a teaching position at PES. Jonah and Camilla were happy to come back to their first school, and Clara loves her new school. We are blessed to be a part of such a great school that focuses on providing students with positive relationships and a premier learning experience.
