The Providence Elementary School Safety Patrol is a select group of Fifth Graders that are committed to providing a safe school environment for all students at Providence Elementary. Their duties included: hallway monitoring, assisting students during car rider time, and working cooperatively with adults in assigned areas such as the gym and cafeteria. Members are selected for their leadership, courtesy, dependability, attitude toward others, and their scholastic standing. Two Safety Patrol members are selected each year to be on Flag Patrol. Flag Patrol is an opportunity for students to take part in raising and lowering the US flag at the front of our school building each school day. Flag Patrol members are trained on how to fold the flag for storage. This is an important and highly honored leadership position at Providence Elementary.
