Hello, my name is Jill Lopez. I am very excited to be a part of the Providence Elementary School staff and working with your child. The 2020-2021 school year will be my thirteenth year in education. I was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia. I attended all Douglas County Schools from elementary through high. The University of West Georgia is where I attended college and obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Masters in Reading Education. I completed my Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction June 2014 from Piedmont College. My most recent degree was completed at the University of West Georgia during the 2016-2017 school year where I obtained a certification in Media and Technology. I reside in Villa Rica, Georgia with my husband and our five year old son. I am very close to my family. My mom, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law are all educators. My dad, brother, and husband own and work for our family contracting business. My in-laws live in Douglasville and New Jersey. I have five beautiful nieces and two very handsome nephews. When I'm not in the media center helping your child find the "just right book" I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, curling up on the couch with a good book or to watch a movie, and getting away to the beach whenever I can! I am looking forward to another wonderful school year as a Providence Tiger! Our vision here at PES is Promoting and Empowering Student Success.
