Bio
Mrs. Spillman is so excited to teach Music here at Providence. This is her 25th year as a music teacher. She currently teaches kindergarten through 5th grade music during the school day and sponsors both Chorus, Honor Chorus and Drama Club after school. Mrs. Spillman earned her Bachelor of Music in Education in 2001 and a Master of Music in Education in 2007 from the University of West Georgia. In 2007, she was awarded Teacher of the Year at Temple Elementary School. She has taught elementary music in Temple since 2002 at both Temple and Providence Elementary. When she is not teaching, you will find Mrs. Spillman spending time with her family. She lives in Villa Rica with her husband, Shawn, and their son who attends Temple High School. Mrs. Spillman also enjoys playing flute with the Sanctuary Choir at First Presbyterian Church in Douglasville. Music is her passion she loves sharing it with her friends, family and students. She also is a proud member of the House of Isibindi!
